In the mid 1960's Warwick Dawson was a trainee at David Jones with visions of one day running his own retail business. In 1969 he decided to make his dream a reality and became a pioneer when he opened the first women’s footwear boutique in Sydney's Mosman. At that time local shopping outside of the "city" was uncharted territory and the now well established Mosman shopping precinct, was in its infancy. Warwick was convinced there was a market for quality women’s shoes and accessories on the Lower North Shore. He began offering European imports and quality Australian brands which at that time were prevalent and very highly regarded. Building his business through personal customer service and by offering individual items with a point of difference, the business thrived and has grown to include eight stores throughout Sydney. Warwick has maintained the tradition of quality European and International brands to this day. Warwick's wife, Tina, has become an integral part of the business and amongst other duties, is the buyer of handbags and accessories. Tina shares Warwick's passion for quality items and focuses on buying unique pieces with a point of difference in order to keep the ranges individual, diverse and interesting. Warwick and Tina's son, Serge, has been a part of the management team since 2003. Their other children, Lara and Sacha, have both held roles in the business at various times making Warwick Dawson Shoes a true family affair. The family has also been fortunate to have a remarkable team of loyal and passionate staff working alongside them over the years. Together they have all helped to build the successful business that it is today and are proud to celebrate over 40 years of trading.
